Give and recieve 1 Here are the verbs meant "give" and "recieve" things; あげます、くれます、もらいます。 I gave a present for my mother on Mother's Day. ははのひに プレゼントをあげました。Ireciebeｄ a book from my teacher.せんせいにほんをもらいました。 My teacher gave me a book.先生は私にほんをくれました。 2 And the you will learn an auxiliary verb with the te-form of verbs.The meaning of てあげます is "do something for someone". てくれますis "someone do somethings to me."te-moraimasu. means "recieve benefit from an action by someone"てもらいます。 I bought a present for my mother on Mother's Day. わたしは ははの ひに プレゼントを あげました。 I borrowed a book from my teacher.わたしは せんせいに ほんを かりました。 My teacher lent me a book.せんせいは わたしに ほんを かして くれました。 When we Japanese say わたしは せんせいに ほんを かして もらいました。We add the gratitude for the action that we recieved although せんせいはわたしにほんをかしました。just describe the matter.
